Withnell’s are proud to announce the launch of ‘Invincibles Ale’. A collaboration with local author Michael Barrett to celebrate the launch of his new book ‘The Rise of the Invincibles’ which documents the foundation of the football league, and the unbeaten Preston North End team of 1889! Penned and created by local writer Michael Barrett, illustrated by Roy of the Rovers artist David Sque, and with a Foreword by former player and now BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson, this evocative book presents the days of the Invincibles as you have never seen them before. It’s been a busy few months down at the brewery! Our current 3 cask lines have been well received, and we are working hard to keep stock levels up. There’s also lots of new developments in the pipeline with our new IPA & Blonde to be released in the coming weeks, once we have the final designs and secured the necessary hops. We also have a single hop series on its way. Toms been busy working on our pop up pallet bar, which will be ready for action in time for spring/summer events. We are also working towards a bottle release and will keep you posted when we have a system in place for this.
